Sit Happens has been in business since 2010. Sit happens is owned by Head Trainer Vickie Jaeger, who started the business due to her love of all pets but especially dogs. Vickie uses positive reinforcement training instead of shock collar training. Vickie believes that dog training should be affordable for most people. She understands that owning a dog can be expensive so she offers some of the lowest prices around.
Vickie loves working with dogs. She currently owns 2 dogs (Pomeranian & Aussie Doodle). Vickie has been married for 30 years to her husband and they have 3 kids together who have grown. Vickie works in the health care industry as a full time job and started Sit Happens as a second job.
Vickie graduated from the Animal Behavior College in 2010. She has mentored with a local trainer and currently teaches a dog training class that she took over from the trainer she mentored under. Vickie has worked with the Assistances Dogs for Achieving Independence and has fostered 2 dogs that went on to become assistance dogs for people with disabilities. Vickie has volunteered at local animal shelters training and playing with shelter animals. Vickie is a certified presenter for Family Paws Parent Education, which educates dog owners who are becoming parents how to introduce their dog to the new family member.
Vickie trained my min pin, Paityn, last year and did a great job! Paityn is a little high strung and Vickie was very patient with her and me. I would and have recommended her to other people.
I wanted to let you know what a fantastic and well behaved terrier I now have thanks to Vickie Jaeger. Vickie didn't rush through the training and always had time for questions. It's a pleasure to walk Lucky now without his shying away from cars and bikes. I still use the techniques she taught me. Lucky sits when I tell him to, waits for his treats and comes when I call him.
